A Winning Team

Enlist your kids to help with coupons

A family that uses coupons can shave an average of 20 percent off its weekly grocery bill, while super couponers who say they cut their food bills in half. That’s money a tight-budget family doesn’t have to spend; and it’s “found money” for those who are better off.

Offer your kids a percentage of the savings when they get  involved in helping you save money by couponing. Even at a young age a child can benefit and gain good match skills  as you decide  together if using the coupon will save  money or if you should buy another less expensive brand. (This will help your child  become  proficient at figuring unit price.).
Depending on their age you may choose to give them certain responsibilities. If they are dependable they can go through the sales making the list of items you need and matching coupons to the items.

If you have more than one child, they can take turns doing different tasks.

Your store receipt may list the total amount saved using coupons allowing you to  pay your children immediately.

Some moms pay 15% of what is saved with 10% to spend and 5% to put away for college.
